On September 2, Gloria and Emilio Estefan celebrate an incredible 48 years of marriage—a love story that began in the 1970s and has survived the pressures of fame, business, family, and life’s toughest moments. 💕 They first met in Miami in 1975, and Gloria has said she knew after their first date that she would marry him. Three years later, she did! 💍

🎤✨ Their relationship quickly became both personal and professional. Together they formed the Miami Sound Machine, built a remarkable musical career, and eventually expanded their partnership into restaurants, hotels, books, foundations, and the Broadway musical On Your Feet!. Through it all, they welcomed two children, Nayib and Emily, while continuing to support each other through every chapter of their lives. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦❤️

Their journey hasn’t always been easy. Gloria survived a devastating 1990 tour-bus accident and later underwent fertility treatments before welcoming daughter Emily in 1994. Through the highs and lows, Emilio remained by her side. Gloria has often said that one of the secrets to their lasting marriage is simple: love, respect, laughter, and enjoying each other’s company. And honestly, her saying that Emilio makes her laugh every single day is pretty beautiful. ❤️
