A boss placed a sign above the sink in the men’s restroom that simply said “THINK!” The next morning, he noticed someone had added another sign directly beneath it, above the soap dispenser: “THOAP!” 😄 Sometimes the simplest joke is the one that catches you completely off guard.
A New York lawyer once argued with a West Virginia sheriff after being stopped for failing to make a complete stop at a stop sign. The lawyer insisted that slowing down should count and challenged the sheriff to prove otherwise. The sheriff calmly asked him to step out of the car, then began giving him a beating with his nightstick. “Do you want me to stop or just slow down?” he asked. 😂
At another gathering, two women were waiting for their hostess while her six-year-old daughter sat quietly nearby. One woman carefully spelled to the other, “Not very p-r-e-t-t-y, I fear.” The little girl immediately understood what they were saying and fired back, “But awfully s-m-a-r-t!” 🧠 And then there was the blonde in a noisy restaurant who asked the waiter where the ladies’ room was. When he said, “On the other side,” she simply walked around and whispered the question into his other ear.
Perhaps the funniest story involves an elegant woman trying to ask a campground about its bathroom facilities without actually writing the word “toilet.” She shortened “bathroom commode” to “BC,” but the campground owner assumed she meant a Baptist Church. His reply described the church as being nine miles away, seating 250 people, having marvelous acoustics, offering a basement supper, and being so crowded people sometimes had to stand. 😭 After reading the letter, the woman quickly decided not to visit that campground!
