Kathy Griffin Booed By Audience During Performance In Ireland

Kathy Griffin speaks during a press conference at The Bloom Firm on June 2, 2017 in Woodland Hills, California. Griffin is holding the press conference after a controversial photoshoot where she was holding a bloodied mask depicting President Donald Trump and to address alleged bullying by the Trump family.

Kathy Griffin, the comedian that destroyed her career following a photo shoot she did with a severed head of President Trump, got booed during a performance in Dublin, Ireland.

After being repeatedly heckled by the audience, the liberal comedian fainted. Griffin claimed that she fainted because she had been on stage for over two hours and that it had nothing to do with the negative reaction she received from the audience.

No one should have attended her performance in the first place after her horrific anti-Trump stunt. Like Trump or loathe him, that stunt was horrific. This woman isn’t funny and doesn’t deserve our money.

Well, we now know that the Irish audience heckled Griffin after she made several jokes at their expense, and they did not take too kindly to her comments.

From Irish Central:

Kathy Griffin was booed by the crowd at her Dublin performance on Wednesday, November 8 after she mistakenly included Ireland as part of the United Kingdom.

She stated it was nice “being in the United Kingdom,” and seemed genuinely shocked when the friendly crowd suddenly turned to her booing and catcalling.

Griffin became so startled she had difficulty continuing with her routine, The New York Times reported. Most of the Irish people at the show in Vicar Street clearly believed Griffin, an Irish American, should have known better.

She has been a frequent visitor there and visited her grandmother’s hometown of Drogheda in Co. Louth in 2007with a TV camera in tow. Her Irish escapades were filmed for her Bravo series “My Life on the D List.” She was given a civic reception

On Wednesday in Dublin Griffin gave what the New York Times called a “wild two hour and fifteen-minute performance” and compared her to Lenny Bruce.

Griffin should have known her audience better, but apparently, she didn’t. Had she known better, she would have never joked that Ireland was, or should be, a part of the United Kingdom.

If Kathy Griffin were a more intelligent comedian, she would have known never to make jokes attacking her own audience, but she’s known for making outrageous statements, so this latest incident is par for the course.

Griffin explained the passing out incident on her Twitter account:

Griffin’s comedy is not my cup of tea, but that’s her style. She’s been called this generation’s Lenny Bruce. Her comedy routine is full of satire, politics, racism, and shock “comedy.”

Even though Griffin mde a mistake during her routine, she likely told this joke to get her audience worked up, and apparently, it worked. I just don’t know why people who paid to see her didn’t know/expect that!
