An elderly man visited his doctor for a routine check-up. After the exam, the doctor said he looked healthy and asked if anything was bothering him. The man admitted there was something odd. After intimacy, he said, he always felt hot and sweaty. But whenever they went for a second round, he became cold and chilly instead.
The doctor was intrigued. He examined the man’s wife thoroughly and found no issues. Puzzled, he asked her directly if she had any idea what might be causing her husband’s unusual symptoms. She smiled knowingly and said she understood perfectly.
“It’s really quite simple,” she explained. The first time they are intimate is usually in August. The second time comes around in January. Her husband wasn’t describing a medical mystery. He was just reacting to the weather outside.
The doctor burst out laughing. The elderly man’s strange complaint turned out to be nothing more than a seasonal misunderstanding. His wife’s deadpan delivery made the punchline even better. In the end, the only thing that needed treatment was everyone’s sense of humor.
