A mass shooting at a toddler’s birthday party in Stockton, California, turned a family celebration into tragedy when gunfire erupted at a banquet hall on Lucile Avenue on the evening of Saturday, November 29, 2025. The attack began just moments before the birthday cake was about to be cut, sending guests into panic as the event descended into chaos. Between 100 and 150 people were reportedly in attendance at the time, and we need your prayers for those who are still at the hospital, as some victims are still receiving treatment even into June 2026.
Authorities confirmed that four people were killed, including three children—Journey Rose Reotutar Guerrero (8), Maya Lupian (8), and Amari Peterson (14)—as well as 21-year-old Susano Archuleta. Thirteen additional people were injured in the shooting. Investigators later found more than 50 shell casings at the scene, and preliminary findings suggest that multiple firearms were used, with at least five different weapons possibly involved.
Law enforcement agencies in San Joaquin County launched a large-scale investigation immediately after the attack. The Sheriff’s Office has been reviewing extensive surveillance footage and pursuing multiple leads in an effort to identify those responsible. Officials have also been working alongside federal partners, including the FBI and ATF, as the search for suspects continues.
In response to the tragedy, authorities and local leaders have strongly condemned the violence and are urging the public to come forward with information. A reward of up to $130,000 has been announced for tips that lead to arrests. The incident has deeply shaken the Stockton community as investigators continue their efforts to piece together what led to the deadly shooting.
