Authorities at ICE made a commendable effort by logging an immigration detainer for Hernandez-Rodas, but shockingly, Boston’s Middlesex Superior Court seems to have other ideas. Instead of taking the federal request seriously, the court released him back into the very community that he posed a threat to. It’s mind-boggling how anyone could think this was a good idea, but then again, this is par for the course under the current administration’s watch.
The situation escalated quickly as Hernandez-Rodas now stands accused of unspeakable crimes against a child, proving once again that the security of American families is being recklessly overlooked.
