Harry’s relationship with Trump has been complicated for years. Trump previously criticized the Duke and, before the 2024 election, said he would not protect him if it were discovered that Harry had lied on his U.S. visa application. The controversy stems from Harry’s memoir Spare, in which he openly discussed past drug use, including cocaine and psychedelic substances.
