Micheál Neeson was just 13 years old when he lost his mother, actress Natasha Richardson. Her love story with Liam Neeson began when they starred together in Anna Christie on Broadway in 1993. Although Natasha was married at the time, the pair developed a strong connection. After her marriage ended, they married in 1994 and welcomed two sons, Micheál and Daniel.

Their family life was shattered in 2009 when Natasha suffered a serious head injury while skiing.
