Here’s why Marlon’s baby mother needs more money.

According to court documents, Marlon Wayans had been voluntarily paying Brittany Moreland about $18,000 per month in child support without being ordered to do so by a judge. However, Brittany reportedly believes that amount does not accurately reflect Marlon’s income, earning potential, and overall financial resources, leading her to seek $22,080 per month through the courts.

The court filing outlines her estimated monthly expenses, including around $5,000 for housing, approximately $9,000 for food, daycare, transportation, and other household costs, $1,500 for clothing, and another $2,000 for childcare-related expenses. She argues that the requested amount better matches the child’s financial needs and Marlon’s level of income.

The case has sparked a wider discussion about child support for high-income parents. Some people believe support payments should mainly cover a child’s basic needs, while others argue that children should also benefit from the financial success and lifestyle of a wealthy parent.

As the legal case continues, social media remains divided over celebrity wealth, family court decisions, and whether child support should have limits for high-earning individuals. The debate has raised broader questions about fairness, parental responsibility, and how support payments should be calculated in cases involving substantial incomes.
