Iron Maiden’s Nicko McBrain Turned Down Trump’s Golf Invitation With a Blunt 3-Word Response! Legendary drummer Nicko McBrain has revealed that he once received an unexpected invitation to play golf with Donald Trump in Florida. According to an interview with The Telegraph, a friend who supported the Republican Party asked McBrain if he wanted to join them for a round with the president. His reaction? “You fucking what?” He ultimately declined, making it clear he had no interest in going.
McBrain, 74, admitted that although he doesn’t consider himself particularly political, he has strong opinions about Trump. He criticized what he sees as the president’s narcissism and raised concerns about controversies surrounding his administration, including the Jeffrey Epstein files and foreign policy.
🔥 Trump wasn’t the only one facing criticism. McBrain also took aim at Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, expressing his belief that members of the administration should face legal consequences. Speaking about Trump and his associates, the drummer delivered another blunt statement: “My last word on Trump and his bunch of cronies is, they should be put in jail.”
🥁 Away from politics, McBrain remains a passionate golfer and a legendary figure in heavy metal. He joined Iron Maiden in 1982 and spent more than four decades with the band before stepping away from touring in 2024. After suffering a stroke in 2023, he worked hard on his recovery and continued performing before announcing his departure from the touring lineup. He is also preparing to share stories from his extraordinary life and career in his autobiography, Hello Boys and Girls! 🎶
