The 2018 message resurfaced alongside thousands of documents and photos connected to Epstein, including images involving Donald Trump, Ghislaine Maxwell, and others.

The email showed Mark Epstein asking his brother to find out from former Trump adviser Steve Bannon whether Vladimir Putin had compromising information on Trump. In the message, Mark referenced “photos of Trump blowing Bubba,” a phrase that quickly spread across social media and fueled speculation because “Bubba” is a nickname often associated with former President Bill Clinton.

As rumors grew, Mark Epstein responded to clarify the meaning of the message. He stated that the reference to “Bubba” was not connected to Clinton and described the exchange as a private, humorous conversation between brothers that was never intended to be made public or interpreted as a serious allegation.

The renewed focus on the Epstein files comes after criticism over the way the documents were released. Vice President JD Vance later acknowledged that the communication surrounding the release was poorly handled, saying officials had “screwed up” the messaging while denying there was an effort to conceal information. The controversy continues to fuel public debate over the documents and the people mentioned within them.
