Kourtney Kardashian has sparked renewed discussion after fans resurfaced an article she co-wrote for her lifestyle website, Poosh, exploring the concept of autosexuality. The piece, created with therapist Casey Tanner, examined the idea of feeling sexual attraction toward oneself and suggested that many people may experience some degree of autosexuality without necessarily identifying with the label.
Autosexuality can involve feeling aroused or attracted to yourself, whether through appearance, touch, visualization, or other forms of self-expression. Tanner explained that it exists on a spectrum and doesn’t necessarily mean someone prefers themselves exclusively over a partner. Things like dressing up, doing your hair and makeup, or simply enjoying your own appearance can sometimes fall within that spectrum.
Kourtney discussed the idea openly, writing that if feeling sexy independently of another person has ever been arousing, that could be considered a form of autosexuality. The article also emphasized that being attracted to yourself doesn’t automatically mean you’re narcissistic or selfish, nor does it mean you aren’t attracted to a romantic partner.
However, Kourtney Kardashian has not explicitly said that she identifies as autosexual. Her participation in the article and the comments she made about the concept have led some fans to interpret it that way, but it’s more accurate to say that she explored and discussed autosexuality rather than officially “coming out” as autosexual.
