Trinati, a mother who breastfeeds her 17-month-old daughter, refuses to feel ashamed about feeding her child in public. She has received uncomfortable looks from strangers and even been directed toward broom closets by store employees who thought she would be more comfortable there. But she believes a hungry baby’s needs should come before other people’s opinions.

Frustrated by the judgment, Trinati decided to make a statement by having her son take a photo of her breastfeeding her daughter at Costco. She wanted to show that breastfeeding is a natural way to nourish and comfort a child, not something that should make mothers feel embarrassed. Friends and family have also questioned how long she plans to continue, but her answer remains simple: as long as her daughter needs her.
Trinati is especially upset by the way people sexualize breastfeeding. She explained that, for her, breastfeeding has become about providing nourishment and emotional comfort rather than sexuality. She also described the challenges mothers face, from little hands pinching to toddlers moving around while nursing, saying these everyday moments are part of caring for a child.
Through her photo and message, Trinati hopes to help normalize breastfeeding in public and remind people that a child’s well-being comes first. She also wants her children to grow up knowing they can trust her to care for them without shame or hesitation. ❤️ What do you think? Should mothers feel completely comfortable breastfeeding in public, or do you believe there should be certain boundaries? Share your thoughts in the comments!
