My Neighbor Charged Her Electric Car From My House Every Night Without My Permission – I Didn’t Call the Authorities, but I Did Something Better to Teach Her a Lesson

The next morning, I placed a small garden gnome beside my garage, right where Monica usually plugged in her Tesla. But I had attached a harmless little string connected to a bucket above it, filled with washable pink paint. That evening, Monica arrived as usual, grabbed her charging cable, and reached toward my outlet. The moment she moved the gnome, the bucket tipped, and pink paint poured straight over her head.

She screamed so loudly that lights came on all along the street. Neighbors rushed outside as Monica stood frozen, covered from head to toe in bright pink paint. “YOU DID THIS ON PURPOSE!” she screamed. I calmly walked outside holding my phone. “Yes,” I said. “And I recorded it.” She threatened to call the police, but before she could, I showed everyone the footage of her repeatedly using my electricity after I had already told her to stop.

Then Frank, the neighbor across the street, stepped forward. “She’s been doing things like this to everyone,” he said. Another neighbor mentioned a ladder Monica had borrowed and never returned. Suddenly, people began sharing stories. Monica’s face went red beneath the pink paint. She grabbed her cable and stormed home, but her reputation had already been ruined.

Two weeks later, her landlord contacted me. After hearing what happened, he investigated several complaints and discovered unpaid utility bills and unauthorized repairs at Monica’s house. Her lease wasn’t renewed. A month later, I watched her load boxes into a moving truck. My garden gnome was back beside my garage, freshly cleaned. I smiled and thought about everything I had tolerated. I had always believed staying quiet meant keeping the peace. That night, I finally understood: being kind doesn’t mean allowing people to walk all over you.
