Trump said Leavitt is leaving to spend more time with her family after welcoming another child, calling it a decision he “totally understand[s] and respect[s].” He also said she will continue supporting the administration in an outside advisory role.

Among the names reportedly being discussed are Alina Habba, a former Trump attorney and former acting U.S. attorney for New Jersey, and Matthew Boyle, Breitbart’s Washington bureau chief. Habba’s television experience and close relationship with Trump have made her a particularly notable possibility.

Other potential candidates reportedly include White House communications director Steven Cheung, senior communications official Taylor Rogers, assistant press secretary Liz Huston, and Trump adviser Margo Martin. Katie Miller and Kari Lake have also been mentioned, with both bringing significant experience in conservative politics and media.

Meanwhile, Leavitt has reflected positively on her time in the White House, calling the role the “honor and adventure of a lifetime.” She thanked Trump for trusting her to speak on his behalf and said she was proud to promote the administration’s accomplishments.
