A new poll shows President Donald Trump’s approval rating remains near its lowest levels, with growing concerns among voters about his leadership, age, and handling of major issues. According to an Economist/YouGov survey released July 21, only 36% of Americans said they approve of his performance, while his net approval rating reached -24%.

The poll also found that Trump’s age has become a bigger concern for voters. More than half of respondents, 52%, said they believe he is too old to serve as president, a significant increase compared with earlier in the year. The survey included 1,602 respondents and had a margin of error of about 3.3 percentage points.

Economic concerns appear to be affecting public opinion as well. Nearly half of those surveyed said the U.S. economy is in poor condition, marking one of the highest negative ratings recorded in recent YouGov polling. Immigration, typically one of Trump’s stronger issues with voters, also showed declining support, with more respondents disapproving of his approach than approving.

Other polling averages show Trump’s approval rating remains underwater, with several major aggregators placing his support around the high 30s to low 40s, while disapproval remains above 50%. The latest numbers highlight the challenges facing the president as public opinion continues to shift around key issues, including the economy, immigration, and questions about leadership.
