Barbara Eden delighted fans once again as she stepped onto the red carpet for Project Angel Food’s seventh annual Lead with Love charity event in Hollywood on June 27. The 94-year-old television icon looked elegant in an all-white pantsuit paired with a royal blue silk top, simple hoop earrings, and a gold necklace. Before heading inside for the two-hour fundraising telethon, she brought smiles to the crowd by recreating her famous I Dream of Jeannie pose, more than five decades after the beloved sitcom ended.
The annual event raises money to provide medically tailored meals to people living with serious illnesses across Los Angeles County. Eden joined a star-studded lineup that included Noah Wyle, Amy Poehler, Adam Brody, Brooke Shields, and many other well-known actors who supported the charitable cause.
Reflecting on her enduring popularity in a previous interview, Eden admitted she never imagined I Dream of Jeannie would become such a global phenomenon. She said she continues to receive fan mail from countries including Russia, China, Japan, Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom, adding that she credits the show’s loyal audience rather than herself for its lasting success.
After more than six decades in Hollywood, Eden has no plans to retire. She has often said she will continue working for as long as she is able, while enjoying a quieter life away from the spotlight. Grateful that generations of viewers still cherish Jeannie, Eden believes the show’s timeless charm continues to transport audiences into a fun and magical world.
