A new poll has sparked discussion about whether Barron Trump could one day follow in his father’s footsteps and become President of the United States. While still a student with no official political career, Barron has attracted growing attention among Republican supporters. Reports from the 2024 election campaign suggested he encouraged his father to appear on popular podcasts, helping connect with younger voters and expand his campaign’s reach.
As speculation about his future grows, a recent survey by the Daily Mail and J.L. Partners explored how Americans view the idea of Barron entering politics. The poll found that 40% of Republican respondents would support changing the Constitution to allow him to run for president before reaching the current minimum age of 35. Another 38% opposed the idea, while 22% said they were unsure.
Across all respondents, however, support for changing the Constitution was much lower. Overall, 42% rejected the proposal, while only 24% supported it. Under current law, Barron, who is 20 years old, would have to wait another 15 years before becoming eligible to run for the nation’s highest office.
Although opinions remain divided, the survey showed stronger support for Barron eventually running through the existing constitutional process. Nearly half of Republican respondents said they would support him as a future president, while only a small percentage rejected the idea outright. Whether he chooses a career in politics or another field remains unknown, but the poll suggests many Americans are already curious about what his future could hold.
