Prince William and Kate Middleton have delighted royal fans with a new photograph featuring their entire family. Shared on October 25 for Mountain Rescue Awareness Day, the picture shows the Prince and Princess of Wales alongside Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, standing with mountain rescue volunteers and a rescue dog. Fans were quick to comment on how lovely the family looked together.

The photograph follows Kate’s participation in the National Three Peaks Challenge earlier this year, when she climbed the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales in less than 24 hours to raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. The family met local rescue teams during the challenge, and Kate used the latest post to thank the volunteers for their dedication, courage and work keeping walkers and climbers safe.
In their message, signed “W & C,” William and Kate praised the teams for their professionalism and compassion, highlighting how they respond in difficult conditions, often at a moment’s notice. The recognition also comes after a challenging period for the family following Kate’s cancer diagnosis. In January 2025, she announced that her cancer was in remission. Meanwhile, their eldest son, Prince George, has recently begun studying at Eton College, where he also lives during term time.
Royal fans filled the comments with warm reactions, praising both the photograph and the message behind it. One called it a “beautiful picture,” while another thanked the couple for the lovely surprise. Others focused on the volunteers, expressing gratitude for those who risk their lives to rescue people in the mountains. One comment summed up the reaction: “You always highlight other people’s work & never yourselves.”
