During his presidency, Donald Trump launched an extensive branding campaign that placed his name, initials, or likeness on a variety of public projects, government initiatives, and commemorative items. Supporters viewed these changes as a way to recognize his legacy, while critics argued they reflected an unprecedented level of personal branding in public institutions.
Among the most notable changes was the renaming of Palm Beach International Airport to President Donald J. Trump International Airport. The airport’s code is also transitioning from PBI to DJT, and the main road connecting the airport to Mar-a-Lago has been renamed President Donald J. Trump Boulevard. A bridge in Tennessee has also been renamed in his honor as part of similar recognition efforts.
The administration also introduced government initiatives carrying Trump’s name, including TrumpRx.gov, a prescription drug marketplace, and Trump Accounts, a savings program designed for children. His likeness appeared on commemorative U.S. passports, 2026 America the Beautiful national park passes, proposed commemorative currency, and special 24-karat gold visa cards intended to promote expedited immigration programs.
Additional projects included the creation of the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace at the U.S. Institute of Peace. Trump also sought to place his name on the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, though that effort was later reversed following a federal court ruling. Together, these initiatives became some of the most recognizable examples of his administration’s emphasis on presidential branding.
